Taylor stretched out her hand in front of her face, blocking out the dim sunlight as it set for the day. The brightness was almost painful to her light blue eyes. It was apparent that she was not used to being in bright sunlight, from the way she squinched and from the tone of her deathly pale skin. Pale skin that lacked any sort of pigment and burned especially easily in the sunlight. Due to this, Taylor had become accustomed to the blackness. She slept during the day and preferred to work at night. The sound of various nocturnal animals greeted her ears as they awakened after their long slumber. There was a soft crick crick of tiny bugs and the rustle of small animals getting ready to sleep for the night. Taylor cast her eyes into the dense forest, searching for some sort of life, but they were hidden from view. Only various plants and trees were visible in the quickly receding light. The black-haired girl only chuckled at the puny animals that thought they were hidden. And they were, in a way. They were hidden from view.
But Taylor did not need her eyes. The more the darkness spread, the more her senses grew. Those inferior animals did not stand a chance against her. She could see them-- no, feel them, as they moved around in the darkness. They were everywhere and nowhere, in front and behind her, below and above her. They surrounded her. Taylor closed her eyes and breathed in the scent of the forest. She did not need light. She did not need these light-sensing organs. All she needed was darkness.
There was movement from behind her. "Shinzu." she said, turning to face the human. She only assumed he was her guild master. Her movement-seeking skill were not that advanced. But it had to be him-- after all, no one else usually came out here. "I trust you're not afraid of the dark." she said dryly. "You know my name, but I do not believe we've met. I will introduce myself. My name is Taylor Herveaux. Let's get going." Without a second glance, she turned away from the figure and headed towards the location of the cave.

Shinzu grimaced as the sunlight pierced his retinas. While he wasn’t as physically fragile to the brightness as his fellow guild mate, he was rather embarrassingly hungover from a drinking competition with a certain Fairy Tail guild master. “Curse that Marika…” He mumbled under his breath before slouching over in a rather defeated manner. With the outright embarrassment he had caused for everyone last night, it was only fair that he would offer to redeem himself by aiding some of his guild mates with their missions.
“Let’s see…” Darkness would claim the surroundings as the sun vanished under the mouth of the horizon, the act of which making it increasingly difficult to find the guild member in question. While she was most likely waiting patiently somewhere, Shinzu was in the meantime inelegantly stomping through the forest like a wounded boar. It certainly wasn't going to require anything superhuman for Taylor to become aware of her master's arrival. The snapping of the branches and scuttering of panicked animals would more than give his presence away to anyone in the immediate vicinity.
“Apologies for my tardiness… Taylor!” Mercifully, the girl had revealed her name just in time for Shinzu to be able to recite it. “The darkness never bothered me. The mystery and fear of the unknown tends to be rendered moot once you are truly aware of what lurks in the pitch-black.” The teen appeared to be referring to something supernatural as opposed to just the mere act of having clear vision in the dead of night. Though quite obviously, Shinzu’s tactless stampeding to this location must have made it more than clear that this was one guild master that did not possess any real ability to ‘see’ as clearly as Taylor could. “Lead the way and I shall aid you as best as I can.”
Clearly, at this point in time, the responsibility for tracking down the target was in Taylor's hands. Shinzu was just simply there to take care of the grunt work along the way.

The cave was not too far away from Shirotsume Town. It was an easy walk there, as a path had already been cut to the outcrop of rock. It seemed that many animals traveled this path. There were various footprints of the different animals that inhabited Earthland and around Shirotsume Town. But nearly none of this could be seen now. The sun had set.
Now in complete darkness, Taylor's darkness tracking was at its full potential. She walked straight to the cave, stopping a short ways in. "Hurm." she huffed, bending down to inspect the ground. "This was surprisingly easy. Let's head back." She stood back up to reveal a small dog wiggling in her hands. It yipped at Shinzu and wagged its tail. Taylor held it out at arms length, giving it to her guild leader. "Ugh. You take it. My work is done. Forward me the reward." and with that, she vanished into the darkness.

Shinzu patiently followed his fellow guild member. Having never really seen her around the guild during the day, it could only be assumed that she preferred to be active during nights such as these. “I suppose that makes sense considering how well adapted she is to the darkness.” The teen almost felt a tinge of jealousy welling up inside of him. If he could ‘see’ in the dark as Taylor could, then life would be so much easier. He did imagine, however, that such an ability would hinder someone's ability to fall asleep, unless it could somehow be switched on and off at will.
“W-Wait? You are leaving?” Shinzu stuttered as he took hold of the hound. “Does this creature bite?” Before much else could be conversed, however, Taylor would already be gone, leaving the teen to the mercy of the beast. “P-Please do not sink your fangs into me.” Shinzu quivered. Although he had put on a brave face up until now, he could at last end his façade now that Taylor was gone. The guild master of Lion Heart was, in fact, terrified of dogs.
